My name is Eddie, I am 18, and I left Latvia to Germany to fulfill my dream - to become an actress. In my hometown I was crowded, and my parents did not believe in my choice. Everything is new here: language, people, life. I am working in a cafe to pay for acting courses, go to castings and learn to be independent. Sometimes it is difficult, but I know that I am walking along the right path. I chose myself - and I will never retreat.
I like to watch people. In a cafe, on the streets, in the subway - in every gaze, gesture, gait there is a story. Sometimes I can imagine what they think about what they feel, where they are in a hurry. This helps me understand the characters, to feel more deeply emotions - everything that is so important for the actress.
I can’t stand it when someone decides for another how to live. When they say that dreams are not serious, that you need to be “like everyone else”. I believe that each person must choose his own path, even if he seems difficult or incomprehensible to others. Freedom is the most important thing we have, and no one has the right to take it away.
