Hey! I’m Judi, an 18-year-old from Tallinn, Estonia. I just finished high school this summer, and right now I’m taking a gap year to figure things out. I live with my mom and my little brother, and our apartment is super close to the sea — I love that. I’m currently working part-time at a cozy book café in the Old Town, which is perfect because I get to be around books and people. I’m also applying to universities to study graphic design or maybe cultural studies next year. Oh, and I speak Estonian, Russian, English, and I’m trying to learn a bit of Finnish because why not? I’m kinda introverted but love deep conversations with my close friends. My Instagram is basically a mood board of Tallinn’s foggy streets, my café latte art attempts, and my black cat, Mustikas.

My city’s vibe: There’s nothing like a walk through Tallinn’s Old Town in autumn, when it’s misty and quiet. Or a summer night by the harbor with friends, when it never gets fully dark. Music and festivals: I live for music. I play a little guitar, but mostly I just listen — everything from Estonian indie like Ewert and The Two Dragons to dream pop and electronic.

Rudeness and fake people: I can’t stand when people are needlessly mean or put on an act just to look cool. Just be real, you know? Winter darkness: Okay, I’m Estonian, but the darkness in December and January is hard. The short days and grey skies can be really draining.
